Welcome to the Medication Technician (Med Tech) course! This program is designed to prepare you for a career as a medication technician in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. As a Med Tech, you will be responsible for administering medication to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician. Throughout this course, you will learn about different types of medications, their uses, and common dosage forms. You will also gain a thorough understanding of medication administration techniques, including how to properly document medication administration and monitor patients for potential adverse reactions. In addition, this course will cover important topics such as infection control, patient privacy, and professional ethics. You will learn how to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals and provide compassionate care to those in need. Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to take a Medication Technician certification exam and enter the workforce as a competent and knowledgeable healthcare professional.
